Beachfront Hotel Houghton Lake, Houghton Lake

I stayed at this hotel for my son and daughter-in-law's honeymoon and had a mixed experience. The room was initially comfortable, but there was a persistent marijuana smell that lingered despite efforts to get rid of it. The service was friendly overall, but there was a concerning incident where maintenance entered our room without wearing a mask. The location was nice with a lake view but lacked proper beach maintenance. The dining options were limited, and the facilities were decent.

Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the room had a nice beach view and amenities like a hot tub, but the downside was facing the parking lot with a bright security light shining in. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff, making our stay pleasant. However, the location seemed a bit neglected in terms of cleanliness and bug control despite being by the beach.
